陸委會主委夏立言4日將召開記者會，公開說明此行的意義、諮商過程與安排細節；行政院長毛治國與總統府秘書長曾永權也將於4日先後向立法院長王金平及國會各黨團說明。馬總統則將於5日召開國際記者會，親自向全體國人報告。
